I'm thinking Pan's Labyrinth. I feel like it's a pretty overlooked and underappreciated film Del Toro. Plus, I like the faun character. Alice in Wonderland is just a tamer version of this story, and Mad Max is about Tom Hardy and friends driving to find some more water, and then they drive right back. And I'm not super familiar with It Follows.
