  1. Song a Day or whatever #78

    "Your menstruating heart"

This song is 10/10 based off of that line alone. Midlife crisis' aren't exactly the kind of thing I'd think the people that listen to this band care about generally, but hey, they sing about so much random shit that this one's not even all that weird... relatively speaking.

Welp, thanks for this album suggestion Polrag

Hurray for Casimir Pulaski Day: The Album. If I had to compare this song to Casimir Pulaski Day, it's probably not all that impressive from a purely musical perspective, but it just has this beautiful raw emotion to it that Sufjan doesn't capture quite as well. You know, sometimes absolutely awful songs are fascinating

Though it does prove that Fall Out Boy does have good songs beyond just the singles (mind you, I don't even like some of their singles at all. My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark would be the prime example of that). But ...

You know, I almost always enjoy songs with significant dissonance between the tone of music and the content of the lyrics. Here's another one =D

Honestly, it seems like pretty much all of Sublime's songs are like that tbh, well, OK not all of them are sad lyrically but they never really SOUND sad musically. Who ever knew that a song about teenage prostitution could be so fun? ... wait wat.
