After the failed invasions of Constantinople, the Eastern Invaders retreat and attempt to regroup and rally. The Byzantines, however, recover more quickly, due to important trade connections leading to a faster gain of resources. This leads to an economic resurgence. The Byzantines then go on the offensive, and push East. The Byzantines conquer the weakened Turks. This means the Ottoman Empire never rises to power. The occupation of would be Ottoman lands leads to the diffusion of Christian and Muslim ideas, and as a result, Muslim technological advances spread more quickly throughout Europe. Also due to the Byzantine occupation of the Middle East means an overwhelming crackdown on public worship of Islam. However, the hostilities between Christianity and Islam leads to open inner conflict, and the Holy Roman Emperor decrees that both religions must co-exist, and that all laws condemning Islam are nullified. Muslims are now level with the Christians within the empire, creating peace and communication between the two groups. This does not sit well with the Pope, and after much conflict, excommunicates the Holy Roman Emperor. Seeing as the Byzantines now control a huge expanse of land, the Empire's citizens and military remain faithful to the Emperor, and the Vatican's attempt to instill a puppet Emperor leads to the Empire branching away from Catholicism. The "new" empire practices a new form of Christianity called Eastern Unitarianism (It preaches an amalgamation of Christianity and Islam). The Vatican relocates the Holy Roman Empire to France. The English, of course, still create the Anglican Church, and the Protestant Reformation takes off faster and with more power, because people see the Vatican has less power and more corrupt. Eventually Catholicism becomes a minority in Europe, with Protestantism, Eastern Unitarianism and Eastern Orthodox Christianity becoming the "Big Three". With the Vatican crippled beyond imagination, and with Muslim knowledge from the East, the Scientific Revolution takes off without consequence. The world benefits from its scientific achievements, and the pursuit of knowledge becomes the everyday man's dream. Rather than fight it like the Vatican, the Protestants and Eastern Unitarians embrace it. The Orthodox, however, are not so quick to take it up. As a result, the Industrial Revolution takes place a century earlier. The American Revolution takes place still. Because of the widespread Industrialization of the world, slavery does not last into the 1800's and the Civil War never happens. African Americans are mostly Eastern Unitarian, and as such, are accepted within their community. The prosecution of Jews, unfortunately, is rampant in this widely Christian world. World War One does not occur because of the assasination of Franz Ferdinand, but rather an open revolt of Jews within the world, as they are treated like African Americans in our history, but worse, as the Christian churches openly condemn them. The Jews hold in Eastern Europe, and The Republic of Israel forms in unoccupied land between the Orthodox and Eastern Unitarian Christians, mirroring the Israel of today, surrounded by hostiles. After the Israelis concede defeat, as they are heavily outnumbered, and their Indian allies forsake them, the respective countries allow them to remain a country, but treat them as they did the Germans, post WW1. Fast forward to 1936, the bankrupt and angry Israelis launch a staggering invasion on Greek islands, eventually conquering the mainland country. The Israelis then push across the Mediterranean, taking Egypt and the North African coast. The Israelis re-ally with the Indians, but betray them after they take the Western Portion of China. The Chinese see the Israelis as liberators, and join them. After the attempt to take Korea, which is sympathetic to the Allies, the Allies drop the atomic bomb on Bethesda, New Delhi, and Xinjiang. The Axis surrenders, etc.

Sorry if I got anything in my early history wrong, I haven't been in Social Studies in two months.

Forgot to mention, Communisim does not take off in Russia because they do not struggle in the war, and it remains a monarchy into the 20th century. Rather, Karl Marx's ideas take root in Japan.

I know it is, but I wanted this to be a story series. We get to one logical step everyone can agree on, then the next, then the next, so on and so forth.
