Mike Hat

Gorillaz happens to be one of the first bands I got into, thanks to their interesting combination of hip-hop and alt rock. While I think Plastic Beach is as a whole weaker than Demon Days, there are still many stand-out tracks, this one included. Not only do I like the music and the humorous feel, but the song becomes a whole lot more interesting under the interpretation that the lyrics are actually about consumerism taken to the extreme, specifically targeting the music industry.
