Woo, tenth day of song of the day! This is the longest I've ever stayed committed to a New Year's Resolution

Only got into Portishead very recently (by that I mean like less than a month ago) but they've already elevated themselves to become possibly my favorite band other than Radiohead. This song, which opens up their fantastic album Dummy, is really quite hypnotizing to me. The vocals in particular might be my favorite female vocal performance ever. This album really got me interested in trip hop (I guess this basically was the original trip hop album?) and I've become really interested in tackling some other songs of that genre... though I haven't quite gotten to them yet.

    @Poles Yeah, but I've only listened to Third.

    Dummy is probably around the top of my priority list of albums to get tho :3

    It's a pretty good album, I'm pretty much addicted to The Rip.
