Ludwig's Song of the Day #1 - When a Fire Starts to Burn (Disclosure)

Disclosure man I fucking swear.

I stand by my claim that they're the only artist to have never made a bad song.

Case and point: When a Fire Starts to Burn

This song is the second off of their 2013 album, Settle.

Now with Settle, I've been bumpin' this shit since it dropped. This song stands out to me personally with it's fucking exquisite beat. Wow I just said exquisite. This song, like some of Daft Punk's work, repeats the same line (When a fire starts to burn, right, and it starts to spread, she gon' bring that attitude home. Who don't wanna do nothing with their life?) throughout the entire song. But this song doesn't rely on lyrics. As a twist on most songs, the lyrics complement the beat instead of the beat complementing the lyrics.

All in all I give this song an Armaldo/9, listen to it.

Only Disclosure songs I've listened to prior to this are Latch and that one song with Lorde. I liked 'em both pretty well, Latch was one of my favorite songs of 2014.

This song is pretty interesting actually. I don't really personally like repetitive vocals much so that part of the song is a little annoying but the beat is actually pretty cool. I could see this being a pretty good dance song. And the vocals aren't really the focus of the song so I can get over that too.

Overall I liked it. Probably not as much as I liked Latch or (Googles the name) Magnets but given how much I liked those songs I can still dig this song.

I personally rank Latch, Omen (other song with Sam Smith), and Magnets higher, but I've been jammin' to this one recently, which is why I chose it.
