Tough to say "I love you"

Especially with Crash Course US History's latest videos, it's becoming harder and harder to say I love the USA. Genocide, invasion of land, slavery, and all of that nasty stuff you learned in history/Crash Course. But how do I remain loving towards USA with all of this? I remember that every country has its horrible stuff. Such as:
England - Imperialistic take over of the world and invasion of other, already inhabited lands
France - Post-Revolution possible genocide of those who did not agree with everything the revolutionaries believed in
Germany - Do I even need to say it?
Of course, this works the other way around too. When you decide to make fun of Russia or some other country, remember that your country has it's own horrible history.
Of course, saying this, each country has brought something or someone exciting and awesome into this world.
England - Charles Darwin, Alan Turing, and Stephan Hawking
USA - Jonas Salk, Alexander G. Bell, and Susan B. Anthony
Germany - Beethoven, Mozart, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Albert Einstein
France - Rene Descartes, André the Giant, and Charlemagne
Russia - Peter the Great, Ivan Elmanov, and Aleksandr Stoletov
The world has its slip ups. It also has its strong points and people who make the world awesome. Thanks for reading. And as always, don't forget to be awesome.
