This couldn't be considered a rant, this could be considered not a rant, it's all about how you see it really but whatever.

1. Science is not evil. Science is a tool and all about how you use it. If you use science to create something that will destroy the entire universe by a single whim, then science is being used for evil. If you use science to cure all known diseases and we can all live until we're over 1,000 years old, then science is being used for good. It's all about how you use it. Let me put its opposite into perspective. If you use religion as a way to justify genocide and other immoral acts and deathly acts, then religion is being used for evil. If you use religion as a means of persuading people to donate to the poor, help those in need, and beneficial acts to not just you but everyone around you, then religion is being used for good. See?

2. Why in the world would you make fun of someone's interests? Just because it's different doesn't mean it's bad. Just because it breaks standard philosophy doesn't mean it's bad or harmful. The world is a crazy place out there. Murderers, rapists, kidnappers, all those horrible people and you decided to make fun of someone because they like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, or Sailor Moon, or anime, or anthropomorphic animals? We just found something we enjoy and to keep our mind off of the world. No need to be part of what we're trying to ignore.
