hey look it's an important song from my past

Yeah, I listened to a loooooot of stuff by this band when I was a wee lad. I'm still a huge fan of Barenaked Ladies. And when it comes to the band also called Barenaked Ladies, I don't listen to them as much anymore, but when I do it's always a nostalgia trip. A lot of their stuff has a huge place in my past.

This also happens to be one of the oldest songs I've had on here... that's an odd feeling. I mostly try to keep this blog contained to post-2000 alternative type stuff with a couple exceptions, but my well on that may soon run dry...

    Do you just keep this blog contained to post 2000s stuff or is that actually just most of what you listen to? =P I personally have about as much 90s stuff as 2000s stuff, more 2000s stuff if you count stuff past 2010 but yeh.

    It's a little of both. For now I'm trying to contain it to post-2000s stuff for thematic reasons, which is why I haven't done anything by bands like the Beatles or Queen or U2 that I like a lot more than some of the bands I've already featured.

    I have something of an unconscious bias against songs older than me, so that contributes to it a little as well. I've been trying to fight that recently but it does mean that up until ~4 months ago my scope was pretty narrow.

    Just gonna say that the majority of my music is from before the 2000s. Hell, a good amount of the post-2000s stuff is just music I got from you guys :P
