Sometimes I wonder if I like Neutral Milk Hotel's music ironically or legitimately. But then I listen to this song and I know in my heart it is both at the same time.

Uh, rankings, haven't done that in a while, let's see...

Based on the last time I actually listened to the album, which was months ago. It's probably changed since then.


I'm not sure if I recommend this album per se, but I certain think everyone should at least... uh, give it a try. It's got the best mix of weird alt rock and bizarre sexual subtext and songs about Anne Frank I've ever heard. It's also got the worst mix of weird alt rock and bizarre sexual subtext and songs about Anne Frank I've ever heard. If anyone else knows of another band who makes songs like that please point me in their direction.

    Oh hey I like this album =D I haven't listened to it much recently, but still. So I couldn't really rank it, but I'd probably put Aeroplane higher than that at the very least. I would say I legitimately like it though, you just got to embrace the weirdness mang. I can't think of any band that's quite like Neutral Milk Hotel, but the lead singer of The Decemberists sounds like he tries to imitate that guy's voice a lot of the time if that counts xP

    I do legitimately like this album, but at the same time... it's just so bizarre :P

    Probably a 9/10 for me anyway though.
