Well, this wasn't my first choice for the day but I kind of realized that I should probably hold off on bringing up all of my favorite bands up first if I want to avoid repeats too often. So instead here's a band that I literally only have one song of :D



Pond is not to be confused with some random 90s alt. rock band of the same name that nobody gives a shit about. I doubt anybody gives a shit about these guys either, but who cares. From what I gather, Pond shares some band members with the guys that play for Tame Impala, and as such it's a bit hard to ignore the stigma that they're just a mediocre knock off. Perhaps I will actually listen to one of their albums one of these days to actually judge them, but who knows. But I can judge this song :3

So... it's kind of hard to tell what these guys are even saying most of the time, after all, even the lyric sites don't really agree. But even with the stuff that I can decipher, it's pretty much just all nonsense. OK, maybe I'm just dumb and there's some super deep symbolic meaning to everything they said, but it sounds like they just took some LSD and wrote random shit. "I never thought seagulls love but you should never give it up" what the fuck does that even mean? This is pretty much the absolute epitome of a song that I only like for the music, because holy shit is it enjoyable to listen to. It's just the kind of thing that I'd like to turn on to pump myself up walking down the street, and mind you that's something I do quite a bit of. It's nothing too special, but the guitar's just gr8 m8.
