Mike Hat

Okay, so I first heard this song in an episode of the TV show House, which my mother used to watch all the time. This was back a while ago, I guess around 2011 if Wikipedia is telling the truth, and apparently the version I heard was actually Peter Gabriel's cover version of it. Still, it stuck with me, at least the concept of a song called "My Body Is A Cage". I had never heard a true alt rock song before, unless Gorillaz counts, and it was something of a revelation; this was a genre that existed. I had actually forgotten all about the song for years, but it came back up because I dug a little into Arcade Fire's history. It's not my favorite song by them, not by far, but it is an interesting experience, at least. And I do distinctly remember how... out there it seemed to me at the time, even if now I think it's a little by-the-books as far as alt rock goes.
