Hey, wynaut have more songs that incorporate classical instrumentation for no reason? =D

I haven't listened to much from this band beyond this song, but hey, I like this song. Perhaps I'll try out the rest of this album at some point, perhaps. Wikipedia lists their genre as "symphonic metal", I was not even aware that was a thing, but hey, now I do.

Well, if you could figure out one thing right away, it's that this song is kind of sort of over the top. You see, sometimes I enjoy over the top songs, and sometimes I really don't. To be completely honest, it's on a case by case basis. In this specific case, I think the over the top-ness of the song makes it fun to listen to. I mean, she's singing about the "carnival of lifeeeeeeeeee" so it actually kind of makes sense for the music to be kind of exaggerated and over the top in this particular instance. I admittedly mostly like this song just because it's fun to listen to, but the lyrics ARE worth paying attention to.

"Wake up dead boy, enter adventure land
Tricksters, magicians will show you all that's real" 2 deep 5 me mang.

This live performance is also glorious

seriously, just look at that guy in the middle's face at 3:42. It's perfect mang

Never heard of this band. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to do a blind listen and type my reaction again.

Okay... intro sounds like video game music to be honest. I swear there's a song in Super Smash Bros. with almost that exact sound. I like the vocals here, I've always felt female vocals work better for this kind of pump-up, anthemy song. For some reason I feel like when done right, female voices pack more of a punch. The random soft piano in what I assume is the chorus is a little distracting. I like it though. Still sounds like video game music. The guitar sounds at about 2:45 are interesting definitely. This third chorus is actually really cool. I like the more intense vocalization here.

Pretty cool. Definitely better than I was expecting from a genre of music known as "symphonic metal." I always say I don't like metal but considering I've never even really listened to it maybe I secretly do

I've slowly become more open to metal, but I don't really full on listen to any metal bands except for Tool and Rage Against the Machine atm and neither of those are exactly your typical metal band. It's just another genre of music for me, some of it is certainly shit, but some of it isn't. I mean, I used to just feel like metal is just a bunch of pissed off dudes beating the shit out of guitars and well, some of it is. Some of it isn't however. Certainly not my favorite genre by any means but yeah.
