Oh hey, here's a band that I have ALL of the studio albums of

... mostly because they only have like 3. Dummy and Portishead are somewhat similar sounding, but Third definitely tries something a bit different. And to be honest, I think I like Third more because of it. The first two are still good albums mind you but still. Third is just somewhat more... engaging per se. Like here :3 Of all the full on electronic acts I've heard before, I can safely say Portishead is my favorite so far. That might change, maybe, but for now they have that position. So good job Portishead I guess.

Side note: now Beth Gibbons vs Bjork for who I like more singing wise, now that's a hard pick

I guess if I want to look at it from an objective standpoint, yes. I just really like the general aesthetic of Beth Gibbon's voice I suppose.

I like it too, but Bjork's voice pretty much carries her songs IMO :P

You know what, I'll have to agree there.

Looks like that answers that question xP

I can see the argument that Portishead's first two albums are too driven by the same sounds. Personally I'm in love with their style of trip-hop and electronica but it could definitely wear out after a while.

I mean, it's not the fact that they're similar sounding that makes me like them less, I just happen to like Third's general sound more
