Song a Day or whatever #37

Rate this Entry
I've been focusing so much on listening to my newer stuff (not necessarily music year wise but you know, more recently obtained stuff) that I've been neglecting some of my old favorites... like poor Radiohead :c

In Rainbows is still my favorite Radiohead album tho, and quite possibly my favorite album ever. And as you can see, it starts off strong. I can only think of one other opening song by Radiohead that I personally think can compete with this one, and that's 2+2=5. I think this one edges out on top slightly. Probably one of the easier Radiohead songs to get into, almost deceptively so when you look at the lyrics. I must say this song definitely is one of the better Radiohead songs lyric wise. "You reel me out and then you cut the string" damn I love that line.

Also while I'm at it I might as well rank all of the Radiohead opener songs because... wynaut.

Spoiler:
1. 15 Step
2. 2+2=5
3. Planet Telex
4. Bloom
5. You
6. Airbag
7. Packt Like Sardines in a Crushed Tin Box
8. Everything In It's Right Place

I have to agree, this song is one my favorite RH songs lyrically.

    "Thanks for whatever!"

For some reason, now that I've listened to From the Basement, I always think Weird Fishes should open the album, and this should be track 2.
