Hey remember that one Beach Boys song they referenced in ERB?



... well, it's actually a pretty damn good song. This is the kind of tacky happy catchy shit that I'm supposed to hate, but I can't bring myself to hate it, I can't. DAMN YOU BEACH BOYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Well, the lyrics aren't exactly the most happy song ever, not exactly depressing either but I'm not sure "get me the fuck out of here" is the most optimistic message ever.

    Actually now that I got a good look at the lyrics more this is probably one of the best examples of happy sounding songs with not-happy-at-all lyrics xP

    I mean, it's just so hard to judge generally, is it just quality? Is it just how influential/revolutionary it was for its time? Does the latter option hold up when later albums build on it and perhaps do it it better? There's a reason I made my top 10 song list favorite songs and not best songs y'know =P
