Hurray for Casimir Pulaski Day: The Album. If I had to compare this song to Casimir Pulaski Day, it's probably not all that impressive from a purely musical perspective, but it just has this beautiful raw emotion to it that Sufjan doesn't capture quite as well. I mean, this is the kind of album that you pretty much HAVE to listen to in full to appreciate the songs, and this definitely has more impact after listening to all of the other songs off the album. To the extent where it pretty much surpasses the good ole' Pulaski Day. So... as a standalone song, Casimir pulls ahead, if you put Epilogue in the context of the album it pulls ahead instead. Both great songs either way though.
