One of the first suggestions was astrology. While I personally don't like astrology there's knowledge to gain from learning about it. So let's get started.
To put astrology into one general term, astrology is the relationship between astronomical events and our lives, and looking for meaning in the sky. Most famously we use the Greek form of astrology with the Libra, Scorpio, Leo, etc. You can look up the astrological signs and times on your own but let's review the history of it and why it's still here after all this time.
Now before we continue, I'd like to point out that astrology is not just some magic (back then). It was something that actually had basis for it, for example lunar cycles and the season changes that happened with the changes of the night sky were part of astrology. Some of the first astrological records were found in ancient Mesopotamia over 4,000 years ago. Since then it's been through the entire history of the Earth, from Mesopotamia, to ancient Greece and Rome, Hellenistic Egypt (meaning Egypt was heavily influenced by Greek culture), all the way up until now!
However as of recently, astrology has taken a less accepted front to everyone, especially scientists. Especially in the mid-20th century tests on astrological hypotheses were tested, such as the famed "Mars effect" which states that people born in the time where Mars is aligned perfectly, according to the natal chart, where those people will have natural athletic abilities. Studies were done about this phenomenon, and those scientists did not come up with the same results when they tested it, and concluded that bias was performed by a scientist that claimed to have tested it.
So why is it still here? If the times have changed where astrology isn't even that big of a role, and even scientists dubbed it "pseudoscience" why is it still here? Well I think it may have to do with the mysticism in it. Much like ancient China where the aristocracy and general public loved Daoism for its mystic ideals, and keeping everything interesting, I argue that astrology does the same. Astrology can (falsely) teach us about ourselves and others, and can (falsely) predict the outcome of the future. Who doesn't love that?! It's almost like a religion in that aspect, where people follow it and believe it to an extent where it can almost be called a religion. But that argument is for another time.
