GEN II
10. Donphan - It's a freakin tire elephant! What's not too love about a freaking tire elephant? I liked Donphan ever since the First Movie came out and we saw this weird tire thing and nobody knew what the fuck it was. Sure, it got owned, but we had seen nothing like this before. Competitively, Donphan is pretty sound as well with access to Rapid Spin and Earthquake. Oh, and Phanpy's pretty cute.
9. Kingdra - Originally, this spot fell to Crobat but then I remembered a Pokémon I loved ever since I was small. Kingdra is a motherfucking boss with its neutrality to Ice and how much of a powerhouse it can be in the rain. Don't try to deny it, Kingdra can bust a cap open in this nigga. Although its stats are nothing spectacular they sure are solid and extremely well rounded 95 across the board (except for in HP and Speed). Kingdra can go physical with a Dragon Dance boost, special with a Rain Dance sweep or even bulky with Rest. Needless to stay, Kingdra wrecks shit up.
8. Typhlosion - The obligatory starter, I think most people can agree that Typhlosion was the coolest of the Johto starters (even though I like Chikorita's first form out of all the three). Typhlosion is a flaming hedgehog/marmot thing and is the only fully-evolved pure Fire type starter this is. Even his name is badass; Typhlosion, conjures up pictures of Tai Fighters, typhoons, explosions and all manner of shitstorm. Watch out for this sexy mofo.
7. Sneasel - Sneasel is straight ballin'. It's blisteringly fast with 115 Base Speed and can hit incredibly hard with that Dark/Ice typing. Despite looking like it will claw your fucking face off, Sneasel is also quite cute. It just seems like such a well-made and great Pokémon that it would be a crime not to put it on this list. I think partially my love for Sneasel came about because it was my first Pokémon plushie, I nicknamed her Sickle and we cruise around stopping trouble in its tracks. Fuck yeah, Sneasel.
6. Umbreon - Another dark type, and great Eeveelution is Umbreon. What hasn't already been said about this guy? He looks cool in both normal and shiny forms and is a great cleric, healing his niggas up with Wish while stalling out the opponent's threats. My only problem with Umbreon is its TERRIBLE levelling up movepool. You have to give this guy a ton of egg-moves to even hope he is useful. For this reason, Umbreon is not my favourite Eeveelution of Gen II.
5. Espeon - But do y'all know who is my favourite Eeveelution of Gen II? Well, if the name and the last sentence of Umbreon's description didn't give it away; it's Pikachu. Jk, it's Espeon. The offensive powerhouse to Umbreon defensive role, Espeon is straight up owning bitches left and right. It is one of the cutest Pokémon in the game and is great in competitive play, even viable in Ubers. This feat is achieved with its excellent ability Magic Bounce (which bounces back certain non-damaging moves) and its ability to Baton Pass such things as Calm Mind or Substitute. This makes Espeon a fantastic support team member, but don't let that 130 Base SpA go to waste, Psychic and Signal Beam will insure your opponent will be out of action for a while.
4. Skarmory - If you don't know why Skarmory is cool, nigga, you and me are gonna have some problems. Skarmory is a giant steel bird of death with one of the coolest designs in the game and the ability to absorb any physical hit thrown at it and laugh it off. Seriously, 140 Base Def is pretty rad. Skarmory is one of the best walls around with access to Roost, Spikes, Whirlwind and Taunt. It can also pack quite a punch with STAB Brave Bird, recovering the recoil damage the turn after. Skarmory gains the excellent ability Sturdy as well, making sure it survives to use Roost next turn and ruin your day.
3. Misdreavus - As the only Ghost type introduced in Gen II, Misdreavus HAS to have a place in this list. Morty is a dick for not using one, plain and simple. Misdreavus was a fantastic Pokémon in Gen II (even outclassing fucking Gyarados in the metagame) but kinda hit it low in Gen III, gaining an evolution in Gen IV before finally being blessed with the Eviolite in Gen V. With the Eviolite, Misdreavus become a dangerous threat once again with Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Ball, Taunt, Pain Split, Foul Play and even Perish Song. Plus it's creepy as well as being cute so that gives it like 500+ in my books.
2. Scizor - Technician.
1. Houndoom - And finally we come to the best Gen II Pokémon there is, Houndoom. Houndoom has been a fan favourite right from the start (too bad you couldn't even freaking catch one in G/S/C until Kanto!) With its sweetass typing of Fire/Dark and its design as a hound from hell, Houndoom captivated many with its sweet-ass existence. One only needs to take a look at the countless pieces of fanart people have made of Houndoom to see that it is indeed loved by many. When Gen VI came around, Houndoom got one of the coolest MEvos seen yet. A skeleton (popped out) and engulfed its body which became all the more hellish. Houndoom, you done well, good doggie.
