I just think its ridiculous to move it on and off on a week to week basis. Silly really.
It's what people want.
I don't want it ever.
I just want the management here to make a simple decision switching back and forth to me is obnoxious and distracting I would rather either put up with it or gladly never have it be here again.
Even though i miss the chatbox, what we're going to do until erb returns from it's break?
The same thing we always do.
TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
But seriously, we'll just keep doing what we're doing right now.
Sparodically fluctuate activity week by week?
Keeping people happy. You're the only one really complaining about this, Nate.
I personally like the system we have going!
It's kinda weird, but meh, could be worst
I get that it's weird and silly. I'm not denying those points. But it is a way that satisfies both halves of the situation. You just need to understand where we are coming from with this system.
Good night my sweet prince.
Why not only have chatbox for 5-10 hours each day? That leaves time for using the actual forum and having time to use the chatbox. Does anyone agree with me?
Hmmmm I don't know I like this. I can only be on here for a little bit everyday I come. Yes I can post and talk again the next day but I like talking to people and getting that direct quick conversation that I like. Yeah. Just saying.
Chat was confirmed to attract spambots
It's hard to organize collabs without it :c
The argument is that if there's a chat, people will be tempted to use that instead of posting on the forum, since that's a quicker way of communicating. If there's no chat, then you have no choice but to post on the forum, meaning forum activity will increase. I personally do agree that having a chat does decrease activity. However, it does also help build friendships and is nice to have around, which is why I voted for the chat to only be up every other week.
How about, next month, while ERB is on hiatus, we test out a week with chat and a week without it. Then after each week we can have a mod or something (prolly Dion) check the weeks statistics to find out how many people posted each week. That way we can find out for sure if chat affects activity.
I'd have no problem with that.
