Is It Normal to be a Loner at my School?

Before you start flaming on me for being a loner, let me tell you specifically why I'm a loner.

I'm nothing like the people at my school, and trust me, that's a good thing. They listen to crappy ass music like Justin Bieber, One Direction and Rihanna. They watch crappy ass shows too. All I'm going to say is the Disney Channel. Most of the guys act like ******s and talk in Falsetto voices all the time to try to act funny. The girls are basically sexist little douchenozzles so I'm not gonna bother with them.

Most of my jokes are considered "unfunny" because they're not sexual jokes. (those are the only jokes they find funny) Everybody's a dick and try to make fun of anybody when they get the chance such as by laughing at their erections, which is painfully immature and stupid. One of these guys even considers One Direction to be part of his religion. Got a good (or bad) picture about these people who are at my school? Honestly, I can't be friends with these people because they're nothing like I am.

My parents, however, shun me because I'm a loner at school. But I honestly don't really think it's a big deal.
What do you think?

Eeyup. I actually did used to have friends who didn't like One Direction and Justin Bieber at first, didn't talk in Falsetto voices and didn't base all their jokes around sexual topics.

Unforetunetaly, they decided that since I'm one of the only kids that hate One Direction, Justin Bieber, Falsetto voices and sexual jokes, I'm a weird man and decided to ditch me in order to join the people that do like those things.

Just sad. That's actually one of the main reasons why I started this thread in the first place.

One important thing about loners
They get the nicest friends and the nicest girlfriends
The 'cool' girlfriends are just a bunch of sluts (maybe not on your age yet but once a loner pretty much stays a loner)

And I agree with YellowNerd. How did me being a loner turn into this?

Asexual simply means you don't like sex at all, with men or women. My ex was asexual. Asexual people can have meaningful and long lasting relatioships. I was with my ex for four years and we were very happy. I still love her.

Now back to the topic at hand. I was a loner throughout my whole life. Still am. I have three real good friends. My ex is my best friend still. My other best friend. and than this third kid Paul. Thats it. But me and my friends are way closer than any of those popular jocks were in high school. Stay yourself kid.

yes. being a loner is completely normal. here is another reason why.

Loners are the easiest people for others to make friends with. new students at the school may have trouble talking to the others, so they'll find you. and you can mold them into your friends, or at least, help them out with making friends with the others.

I was called a loner through out high school, but I happen to know just about everyone. I may not have been friends with these people, but I actually talked to the majority.

as I came to see things, loners are essentially the information brokers of school.
