It happened to everyone. I believe it was because so many people were on?
Happened here as well. :/ I was so sad. ;A;
Did that include guests?Quote:

I thought it was just me because it said there were too many people on, so I thought the server was just prohibiting me from getting on because I was the excess. :/
I missed you too, Spike! :D
Robs here to save the day, lets see what he says...
I thought the same thing.Quote:

The 'max_user_connections' means that for some reason, there were a large number of requests to the database all at once. 1203 is the error code, not the number of users :p
So the problem is, some action took place that sent a lot of queries to the database at once.
I'm currently unsure of what that action was, but I am looking into it.
I wonder if it was me skipping through multiple pages of the TDFE thread. Im on a citrix server at work and it crashed on me when I would skip some pages.Quote:

What were you searching?Quote:

Is there a message that shows up? What happens when you try to do it?Quote:

that is what it said. it stopped working on me a second ago.
Never mind that, it wont let me again. Here's the message:
Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.
I added a 20 second filter, so you would have to wait 20 seconds to do a 'search' again.
finding all your posts/recent posts is considered a search. The filter used to be 5 seconds.
I'll lower it to 10 since I didn't foresee you guys having this problem.
Same here. I know I'm on the page a lot so it's frustrating. Same with the new posts, unanswered posts, etc.
still not workingQuote:

I'll add a better search to the board. This should keep it from crashing again though.
I believe the problem was that the search entered was too long. The search is a different type of search than google, it just searches for key words.
But it shouldn't crash again, and I'll keep working on improving it.
thanks Rob
I lowered the search filter back to 5 seconds (where it was at before), so you guys should be able to view your posts/recent posts/etc so long as you wait at least 5 seconds between each time.
