Which Doctor was the Best?
I've been wondering a lot lately of who was the best doctor. Now though I will mention their actors names that is only for clarification. Looking past the acting skills and ignoring any bias which doctor was the best based on their accomplishments, gadgets, and etc.
Each doctor had major tasks they had to so in individual season. Like Matt Smith had to deal with the Silence, David Tennant had the master. Each doctor also had perks that made them likeable. Jon Pertwee had that awesome car, Matt Smith had a fez, Colin Baker had his.....suit.
Now obviously those who only watch or have watched the new seasons of doctor who will either say Matt Smith or David Tennant because they just haven't seen the classics or they did and are more partial to the newer things or quite frankly they just like the actors.
I just want to know what everything or some people think who is the best Doctor. Leave your reasoning below. Rank them from 1-11 or if you are aware of the other doctors rank them then. I just want to know. Also vote on the polls and whoever gets the most votes will be the one that overall us formers think is the best doctor.

I personally think the 9th one is the best. I don't really know why, there's a certain charm to him that attracts me more than the other doctors. Maybe it's because of the actor, but he's my favorite. :)

I wouldn't mind a female doctor but the doctor has to be gay before he is female.

Personally I would like to see the Doctor go back to being old. I like the gentleman feel he had.

Definitely the ninth! He had one of the most unique and outstanding personalities.
As for the next doctor, I'd think it be funny if he became Brazilian. XD

I really saw 9 as a really hateful doctor. Grant it the 6th was suppose to be like that but 9th you could actually take seriously. I didn't think it would fit the doctor until he reached 13th when he is suppose to be the Valeyard

I liked the 9th. he was fun, but he was serious as well. with good reason I mean he did lose his entire race and killed an entire species(so he thought) so he has a good reason to be a little dark. I thought it was a great story seeing him regain some humanity through the season. too bad they decided to get rid of him so soon.

Well true. At least he's not like 10 where he complained and whined before his regeneration

Well true. At least he's not like 10 where he complained and whined before his regeneration
yeah. but it made sense to me. why would no Time Lord care if they were about to die? he knew he would be gone and someone else would be living his life.

It would still be him. The way I see it the last words of the Doctor is the Actor saying a goodbye to the audience and the new doctors first words are his hello. 9th gave a great final word speech. 10 was an I don't want to go. 11 was apologizing (though he never actually regenerated). That's why I was mad with 10's final words. It felt like an awful goodbye to the audience

Tennant's final words was deep and meaningful, He actually really didn't want to go, he wanted to stay and still play the doctor for more seasons, but they really needed to "let him go" So yea, I almost cried at that goodbye, but 9th's goodbye was sad/happy.. i don't know.. i got mixed feelings on that.. so yea.

^I loved and hated the way the 9th doctor left. He was a great doctor.
I also feel that they exaggerated the 10th doctor's exit. But Tennant was good non-the-less.

Tennant is my favourite and Eccleston is close second while the Tom baker is the 3rd.
Tennant had lots of sad, feelsy moments and funny moments that made the entire generation worth while.
Eccleston's was dark, eerie and mysterious, since he just lost his race and is trying to re um.. re evaluate himself, He's a comedic genius as well, he was fantastic.
Tom baker, Nuff said.

The one reason I side with Colin Baker is because I felt bad for him as he got the raw end of the stick..BBC fucked him over then blamed it on him. Though he could have quit he still tried to give his best.
The 6th doctor would be compared to the 9th. He was very dark. The trial of the doctor has to be one of the doctors finest moments. 6 was questioning how his later life would turn out. He feared that he would become the valeyard and tried to prevent it. Yet everytime he tried evidence of his darker side would show. His entire story is overcoming evil. Trying to go back to the carefree doctor that he was. It all ending with him basically forcing a regeneration to give him a new personality so his darker side wouldn't be so evident
