Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's an early review, Ezio vs. Spider-Man. Next will be Dis Raps For Hire 9.
[spoiler:3lblbfki]Spider-Man-Round 1: It’s a little weak at first, but it picks up around the revelation line. It gets a bit better from there. 8/10
Ezio-Round 1: This verse is pretty intense. The Italian lines are pretty funny. I always loved the French part in ERB 9, and wanted more lines like that, and this verse has them. 8/10
Spider-Man-Round 2: The bench line is pretty good. But that’s the only line I really liked from Spider-Man for the rest of the battle. 7.5/10
Ezio-Round 2: The last line is good, yet not quite enough to win the battle for Ezio. It seems like everyone that posted on your battle thought Spider-Man won, but I thought it was really close. 7/10
Overall: A decent battle, for the most part. Some funny lines, some clever lines. It’s not a perfect battle, but it still was enjoyable. 7.5/10
Final Results:
Spider-Man: 15.5/20
Ezio: 15/20
Total Score: 38/50[/spoiler:3lblbfki]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Thanksgiving weekend will give me a lot of time to get some reviews done. Here's Dis Raps For Hire 9. Next will be Spartica4Real's Obama vs. Romney.
[spoiler:1k65i2fk]Intro: It’s pretty cool that he got The Rza on the show and got him to play chess with him. Aside from that, it’s not too funny. Though I like the end when The Rza tells him to ‘’take care of that sh*t’‘. 7.5/10
Beat: This is a very intense beat. It’s also sort of catchy, if you listen to it enough times. I actually like this beat. 8.5/10
Dis Rap: The beginning really sounds nice. I can’t believe none of us realized that ERB hint. It was pretty well-hidden. The ‘’bite me’‘ line is hilarious. The part from ‘’fought bankruptcy’‘ to ‘’old and ugly’‘ also sounds good. I think the Snake Mountain line is a He-Man reference, but I didn’t watch He-Man, so I don’t know. I like the ho line and the last line. A pretty good Dis Rap overall. 8/10
Total Score: 24/30[/spoiler:1k65i2fk]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's Spartica4Real's Obama vs. Romney battle. I wanted it to be out of 70, so all 3 of them will be reviewed out of 20.
[spoiler:msfep5na]Mitt Romney: The beginning 3 quarters are OK, mainly just listing facts. The last quarter of this verse is pretty good. 14/20
Barack Obama: The first few lines are a bit too similar to the actual battle. The ‘’black guy’‘ line, as everyone has probably told you, is hilarious. The ‘’big bird’‘ line is OK too. One more thing, Obama was actually born in Hawaii. I won’t take off points for it, just letting you know. 15/20
John F. Kennedy: I think this verse could have been longer. I know what you said about not liking 3rd party rappers, but you could’ve had him mention Romney a bit more. The dis to Obama was pretty good though. 14/20
Overall: This battle was written well. Some of the lines could have been thought out better, mainly the back-and-forth, but still, I could tell you put some effort into this one. 7.5/10
Final Results:
Mitt Romney: 14/20
Barack Obama: 15/20
John F. Kennedy: 14/20
Total Score: 50.5/70[/spoiler:msfep5na]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's Spartica4Real's Barney Stinson vs Ash Ketchum. Next is Uprising's Eminem vs Steve Miller.
[spoiler:oto2amxh]Barney Stinson-Round 1: The beginning lines are OK. It gets pretty good at the end when he starts referencing pokemon. 7.5/10
Ash Ketchum-Round 1: The made in Japan line is alright, and the last line isn’t bad either. Still not as good as Stinson’s first verse. 7/10
Barney Stinson-Round 2: The Brock line is OK. There could have been a more clever Brock line, but this is a decent line. 7/10
Ash Ketchum-Round 2: Honestly, I think this verse could have been better. There’s potential in this verse, but it’s just not written too cleverly. 6.5/10
Overall: It’s not your best battle, but it has it’s lines. I enjoyed reading it, but you have written better battles. 7/10
Final Results:
Barney Stinson: 14.5/20
Ash Ketchum: 13/20
Total Score: 35/50[/spoiler:oto2amxh]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Seems like forever ago that I made that battle...ah the memories. Fun fact: I intentionally made Eminem swear in every line of his first verse,
-
Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's my review of Uprising's Eminem vs. Steve Miller. Next will be Spartica4Real's Homer Simpson vs. Peter Griffin.
[spoiler:2y1dr5gs]Eminem-Round 1: The ending few lines are where it gets good. The beginning is a little weak, but the end makes up for it. 7.5/10
Steve Miller-Round 1: The song references in this one are really clever. The best line is the Jungle Love line. Well done. 8.5/10
Eminem-Round 2: The first line is pretty good. I can just imagine in my head Eminem getting really mad. 7/10
Steve Miller-Round 2: Some more decent song references. They aren’t as clever as last verse, but they still give him the win. 7/10
Overall: I thought this battle was written pretty well. The references are in some parts very clever, and it’s obvious to me that you have all the skills you need to make a good battle. Nice job. 7.5/10
Final Results:
Eminem: 14.5/20
Steve Miller: 15.5/20
Total Score: 37.5/50[/spoiler:2y1dr5gs]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's Spartica4Real's Homer Simpson vs. Peter Griffin. Next is Batman vs. Sherlock Holmes.
[spoiler:1x8h4ft8]Homer Simpson-Round 1: This verse has too many facts and not enough jokes. It could be funnier, but it still has some clever lines. 7/10
Peter Griffin-Round 1: The ‘’bird is the word’‘ line could have been used for a more clever joke, but at least it’s funny. The ‘’chickens’‘ line was really good. The last line is sort of funny. 8/10
Homer Simpson-Round 2: The joke about Stewie and Brian is an OK line. The rest are average lines. 7/10
Peter Griffin-Round 2: The ‘’softy’‘ line is alright. It certainly shows some effort. Still, it could be funnier or more clever. 7/10
Overall: This battle was alright. The lines, though, could have been funnier, and some of them are just listing facts. Aside from that, nice job. 7/10
Final Results:
Homer Simpson: 14/20
Peter Griffin: 15/20
Total Score: 36/50[/spoiler:1x8h4ft8]

I don't think you did ask, so I'll put it on my list. In the future, if you can't remember, check the front page. I put my upcoming reviews on that page.

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's my review of Batman vs. Sherlock Holmes. Next is Funnybone's Siri vs. GLaDOS Round 2.
[spoiler:3tfqp2as]Beat: I didn’t like this at first, but it’s grown on me a bit. It’s actually quite fitting for a battle between two heroes. It’s a bit slow, but it’s not a bad beat. 7.5/10
Impressions and Costumes: Batman’s voice is OK, Robin’s isn’t that good, Holmes and Watson’s are pretty good. I think the costumes were fine. They were probably trying to do Basil Rathbone’s Sherlock, and I think they pulled it off. 8/10
Batman-Round 1: This verse gets a lot of hate, and I don’t get why. Sure, it’s probably the worst verse of the battle, and the first bit isn’t too good, but it does have some good lines, such as the Bangers and Mash line. Not great, but not as bad as people say it is. 7/10
Sherlock Holmes and Watson-Round 1: It’s has a nice start when he deduces Batman’s identity with clever lines. The ending is where it gets really good. The British butler line and the ill line are both awesome lines. 8.5/10
Batman and Robin-Round 2: Robin was very impressive. Most of his lines were great, especially the Irene Adler line. Batman’s last line is pretty good, so I consider this a step up. 8.5/10
Sherlock Holmes and Watson-Round 2: The beginning is pretty cool, and the effects are both impressive and funny. The lines that follow are, for the most part, pretty good. 8.5/10
Overall: This battle was actually really enjoyable. Lots of people don’t like Batman’s lines, but that’s only because the rest of season 2 has been so impressive. I can’t really explain why, but this battle is just fun to watch. 8/10
Final Results:
Batman and Robin: 15.5/20
Sherlock Holmes: 17/20
Total Score: 56/70[/spoiler:3tfqp2as]

Some of my opinions:
-I think all the costumes where great
-And Robin's voice was pulled off awesomely
-I think the first BM verse SUCKED. I dont think any of the lines where good. This verse was pure comedy IMO.
I agree with everything else.
Also, when you do get to reviewing the Extreme Collab, could you review Hulk vs. Tyson?

I don't really know how to break it down. I judge every category out of 10. If it helps:
4 or lower: Bad
5-5.5: Average
6-6.5: Above Average
7-7.5: Enjoyable
8-8.5: Great
9-9.5: Outstanding
10: Perfect

Total Score: 56/70[/spoiler:2opnp5xa]
Some of my opinions:
-I think all the costumes where great
-And Robin's voice was pulled off awesomely
-I think the first BM verse SUCKED. I dont think any of the lines where good. This verse was pure comedy IMO.
I agree with everything else.
Also, when you do get to reviewing the Extreme Collab, could you review Hulk vs. Tyson?
Alright.
The score differences between the total score and the characters scores doesn't seem to add up though.

Can you give a break down of your scoring? It doesn't make sense to me.
I don't really know how to break it down. I judge every category out of 10. If it helps:
4 or lower: Bad
5-5.5: Average
6-6.5: Above Average
7-7.5: Enjoyable
8-8.5: Great
9-9.5: Outstanding
10: Perfect

If you're talking about the thing at the end where I show each character's scores out of 20, that's just to add up who I thought the winner is and clarify who I thought won. It doesn't add to the total.
For example: Batman's first verse got a 7 and his second got an 8.5. That adds up to 15.5. I put that at the end, but I don't add another 15.5 points to the total score.

Can you switch my Chris Griffin vs Luke Skywalker battle with my batman battle? I think its better, and I want to see how good it is.

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's Funnybone's second Siri vs. GLaDOS. Next is WWEFan101's Jesse James vs. Al Capone.
[spoiler:1z5648zr]Siri-Round 1: The ending few lines are slightly better than the beginning ones. I think more jokes should be mad instead of just fact listing. 7/10
GLaDOS-Round 1: These lines are better. The jokes are funnier and more well thought out than Siri’s first verse. 8/10
Siri-Round 2: I wasn’t really impressed with this verse. Siri’s lines were not as clever as they could have been, sadly. 6.5/10
GLaDOS-Round 2: Not that great of a start, but around the ‘’Steve Jobs's sex toy’‘ line it improves. GLaDOS wins this battle, hands down. 7.5/10
Overall: A bit one-sided, and the lines in some parts aren’t too clever, but this battle does have some decent lines. Make more jokes about the facts and these can be good. 7/10
Final Results:
Siri: 13.5/20
GlaDOS: 15.5/20
Total Score: 36/50[/spoiler:1z5648zr]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's WWEFan101's Jesse James vs. Al Capone. Next will be his Ash Ketchum vs. Charles Darwin. Also, just to clarify, I don't watch the ERBs until the come out on youtube with video, so I won't be reviewing Moses vs. Santa Claus until then.
[spoiler:39h9hk9d]Al Capone: The beginning of this verse’s second half is rather impressive. Not the best verse, but still pretty good. 14.5/20
Jesse James: A lot of these lines are above average. I wouldn’t necessarily call them great lines, but above average. 15/20
Overall: This battle was alright. I would recommend making more jokes instead of just listing facts, which you do a little better in your later battles. 7.5/10
Final Results:
Al Capone: 14.5/20
Jesse James: 15/20
Total Score: 37/50[[/spoiler:39h9hk9d]

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Hey, on your 1st page, it doesn't say my Chris Griffin vs Luke Skywalker. I think it was because I asked for you to switch, and you said ok, and put batman vs heisenberg toward the bottom, but forgot to put Chris at the top

Re: HipsterSamuel reviews
Here's WWEFan101's Ash Ketchum vs. Charles Darwin. Next is Sinister Spike's Edward Cullen vs. Albert Wesker.
[spoiler:2qsvqu6d]Charles Darwin: I was somewhat impressed with the pokemon references. The last line isn’t that bad either. 16/20
Ash Ketchum: Honestly, not too impressive. He didn’t have very many lines, and the ones he did have could have been more clever. 11.5/20
Overall: This battle seems a bit one-sided, but it’s still pretty enjoyable. Still, try to make more jokes about the facts instead of just listing them. 7/10
Final Results:
Charles Darwin: 16/20
Ash Ketchum: 11.5/20
Total Score: 35.5/50[/spoiler:2qsvqu6d]
