I've come to realize that due to many people not being history buffs, people don't understand some of the references in my battles, but when I explain them to people, they actually like my battles a lot more and realize that I actually put some clever jokes in there.
So I will post the meanings of each rap battle, line by line....tomorrow. Cause I gotta go to bed now :p

It's better than having everyone creating a topic just to explain their battles. One or two topics is fine, but if more people want to do it, it wouldn't be that good having dozens of topics to explain two/three more subtle references per battle. (also, I don't see how it's cluttered, we can make a little grid that people need to follow too)

Here's the explanation for my most recent battle, George III vs Caligula.

Caligula:

George III was a British king. Derp.

Caligula's saying that George must be crazy to think he can win. And, of course, they both were crazy.
You little old lunatic, with the hair so unkempt
George's hair was actually pretty tidy, so this is an example of Caligula being out of his right mind like he usually was
Historians will mark this up as an assassination attempt
Several attempts were made to kill George III
I'm the original mad ruler, you're just a blood-sucking freak
George III had porphyria, a.k.a. "the vampire disease"
I've got the best technique and I can make you shriek, just ask the Greeks!
This line is stupid and is supposed to be stupid, because do you really expect someone who was legitimately insane to have the greatest raps? No you do not.

Caligula would torture people, and George is saying that hearing Caligula rap is even worse torture.

In Romanian, Vlad the Impaler is Vlad Tepes, so this is a pun on his name and the fact that people decorate each other's lawns with toilet paper as a prank.

Ivan was the Grand Prince of Moscow. Vlad is saying that Ivan has already been defeated, but this is also a joke on the fact that Ivan died while playing chess.

I'm the Tsar of All the Russias, from Moscow to Wallachia
Ivan was Prince of Moscow and Vlad was Prince of Wallachia.
