My Sister

My sister, is only 10 years old, and she's as sweet as can be, well, she was born with a defect in her brain that kept her left side from functioning as well as her right. This was bad enough, where she could've died from it after birth, so they had to put a shunt in her head, I am sure you are familiar with what a shunt does, if not, look it up.

So basically, this shunt protects her from dying. If she ever hit it hard enough, or put a magnet next to it something could happen.. something really bad that I don't even want to speak of. Well, she fell and hit her head and now she's in the hospital, and I don't even know if she'll make it...

I'm sitting here tearing up as I write this, knowing my little baby sister could die before me and after only being here 10 years. She JUST turned 10 at that. Man.. I'm sorry.. I just had to let you guys know because you're like family to me, and I may not be very active, if here at all the next month.

she will be in my prayers in the coming days, weeks and months. stay strong. for her sake. stay strong

Death is tragic, but as Ben Franklin said "Ask not for a longer life, ask for a happy one" If you sister is happy, be glad that she's happy. Dr. Seuss once said that don't frown because it's over, smile because it happened.

She'll definitely be in my thoughts.

Dr said she just hit her head just below the shunt, close one.

She was saying her head hurt back there, and it was bleeding, so we didn't know if it was her shunt or not..
