ATTENTION: NEW RULES

As most of you know, our current rule/punishment system is, well, for a better word, lacking. We treat every issue as a case by case basis and throw out a warning or a random number of days banned from the forum. To me, this is inefficient and inconsistent and it sets a bad prescidence. I received the OK from Dion to build a new rule/punishment system that is much more streamlined and pretty much covers every area. That's not to say new rules cannot be added, because they can be. Right now, I'm simply waiting to see if there's any additional rules that need to be added. I won't post the list yet, but I will post a bit of a preview of what to expect. The punishments are set in stone however and there is no negotiation to them.

That being said, here's what to expect:

I've decided to break this up into 3 categories for simplistic sake.

Lesser offenses will result in a single warning with no ban. If a person obtains multiple lesser warnings, it can and will result in a ban of days = to the number of warnings they have(5 warnings = 5 day ban). A ban will only be contemplated if the offending member continues to produce lesser offenses.

Serious offenses will result in a ban with documented proof. The length of a ban will be a minimum of 2 weeks + the number of warnings that member has encurred. A ban will occur even if the member does not have previous warnings.

Instant Banhammer are extreme situations where regardless of the person's past (activity, length of time, previous history, etc) they will be met with a permaban.

All offenses apply to chat as well. In order to report an offense with chat, please provide a screen shot (press the Prt Scr SysRq button and paste into Paint for your PC users) and send it to a mod/gm.

If you feel a rule is being broken, PLEASE PRESS THE REPORT BUTTON SO THAT WE CAN HANDLE IT. We are not on 24/7 and so we need you, the active community to keep an eye out. This will only work if we work together.

If there are any questions, feel free to post them and I will answer them. After the list is posted and you feel that something should be added, please post a reply here or PM and I'll see what I can do.

If you don't agree with the list, well, too bad, suck it up ;).

Plagiarism
Providing false information about a legit personal issue
Spying & revealing private information from a private section.

Instant Banhammer:
Complete disregard of previous warnings/bans
Spambots

Additional Note: Any warnings currently active on a members profile will be taken into account for new offenses.

What's a ban

When you say chat, does that apply to chatzy, because sometimes thats where some drama stems from?

I'm sure he means the chat here. can't really do anything that happens off site
