But did you really? Because I know from Chi saying she was still having to defend me as early as today while the mods were arguing about what to do. And I know some people were calling for my ban.

I agree with R<3PTAR. Stealing/Plagiarism is a crime, and should be treated like one.
When things like "he/she is taking his/her idea" appears in sections such as Writer's Corner, I think it would work best if the moderator/s over the section contacted both of them before it leads to something bigger. However, if someone tries to take credit for something someone else did, that person should get a temporary ban.
It's already a rule. There is a sticky in the corner that states as such
