Alex Summers is Cyclops' (Scott Summers) younger brother. I agree, it's kind of weird. Maybe it will be addressed in the sequel, with all the time travel and stuff.

Well sometimes actors do take on roles where the age of the character is younger than they are. Is that the issue here?

Holy shit....how the hell did I miss that? Yeah, that would have bugged me a great deal but for whatever reason, I didn't think of the timeline that was used.

And to argue against the Venom Theory... I was okay with how it was introduced, because in the comic books, the symbiote was brought to earth after the Secret Wars which Spiderman took part in. So in truth they did their best to bring it in, but they shouldn't have brought it in at all.

I pointed out 2 specifics.

1: Peter Parker is not emo. Peter Parker is actually a very confident guy. Toby Miguire portrayed Peter Parker as this timid little nerd. Then in Spiderman 3, got this ridiculous attitude when he wore the Venom symbiote. And it wasn't a "I'm on top of the world" confident attitude either it was "Hey, I'm a giant douchebag, fuck me right?"attitude. It was appauling. That is NOT Peter Parker, nor has it ever been. And don't give get me started on Parker being able to produce the webbing naturally.

2: The actual portrayal of Venom was GARBAGE. Topher Grace gives a forgettable performance of Eddie Brock, whom doesn't even have Eddie Brock's body frame, which is the frame work for why Venom is as huge as he is. I would probably complain less if Topher Grace was Canrage, but I can write off Carnage as being skinny. They can do CG (see Hulk) to increase the body size/mass so there was no reason why this couldn't have been done. Venom is one of the most Iconic villains in the Spiderman mythos and THEY DUN FUCKED IT UP.
