Sub-Chapter 3: The Junkyard

Gunnut was with Hook, keeping an eye out for any creatures.

"Hey, Gonad.. what's the plan for a shelter? I mean, I think Kain would be a good leader and everything, but.. where would we stay?"

"I don't think we've decided.."

"Oh.."

Gunnut was looking throughout the city in binoculars.

"Hmm. Hook, do you see this?"

"See what?"

"There's a junkyard over there. I don't see any creatures, and the fences are climbable. It looks.. safe."

"We should tell Kain then."

"Yeah, let's finish up here and the--"

"Run. Warn the others."

"What is it?"

"JUST GO!"

Hook and Gunnut sprinted off towards the campgrounds.

In the distance were hundreds of monsters. Sprinting towards the survivors.

With bloodthirsty eyes.

I really enjoyed this. It also got somewhat good feedback. The best I've ever received.

Flashback Sequence 3: Hunger

"Serves you right bitch." Kain kicked Rob's corpse. "I'm running things now." Kain turned away and headed back towards the base.

At the base

"We have to fucking move now," said Gonad, "those things are heading right for us."

"He's not fucking around, I saw them too." said Sane.

Clemi looked at a now dead Nate, who was laid right beside a dead Chi. "Let's go."

As they were packing up their things in Rob's truck, Clemi looked around for Rob.

"Holy shit. Rob has the keys. Without Rob, we're fucking dead."

PolarBore looked out in the distance, "I think I see Kain! I don't see Rob though..."

Kain came running up to everyone out of breath, "The Things got Rob. I tried to save him... I couldn't. He told me to run. I'm sorry."

Clemi never trusted Kain, and this only brought up more suspicion.

Spartica ran up to Kain, "Thank God you made it Kain. We needed our leader."

"We need to get out of here. Let's lea---"

"FUCKING MOVE!"

The Things were all over the place. Everyone made a mad dash for the vehicles.

Clemi jumped into the truck with Kain and drove away. As he looked back behind him, he saw the faces of many of his friends being torn apart. Bobby, Mason,Faena, and Zyroda. Poor Zyroda. He was truly a kind spirit.

They drove for what seemed like hours until suddenly the truck ran out of gas.

"Dammit!" Kain honked on the horn 3 times to alert the rest of the group.

When everyone had gathered around, Clemi counted everyone.

Spartica, Dion, Brad, Adonis, Tom, Polar, Sam, YellowNerd, Ranger, BBCX, Turtle, Umbreon, and Sane, Lo, AC, Nutty, King, BrineBlade.

"Holy shit..."

"Listen up everybody." Kain stood on top of the truck's front hood. "We need to keep moving on foot."

"Who died and made you leader?" said Umbreon.

Clemi looked at Kain.

"The keys. The fucking keys to the fucking truck. You had them. What the hell did you do to Rob?!

Kain was speechless, finally he spoke.

"Nothing! I swear!"

"You've had it in for Rob since day one. What the hell did you do!?"

Kain looked around.

"I fucking saved you guys. That's what I did. That piece of shit didn't know how to lead. You should be thanki--"

A punch to the jaw knocked Kain to the ground, and Clemi was on him.

"YOU MOTHER FUCKER! WE TRUSTED YOU! WE FUCKING LOOKED UP TO YOU!"

Punch after punch made contact with Kain's face until he was pouring blood.

"FUCKING ASSHOLE! HOW COULD YOU?!!"

"Clemi stop! You're going to kill him!"

"Fuck off Gonad."

Sane and Sam pulled Clemi off of Kain, while Dion bent down near him.

"You... you killed him... Kain is... dead."

Clemi looked at his bloody fists, and back to Kain's body.

He spit on him and sat in the truck.
