Phil Robertson, the father of the A&E Television show, Duck Dynasty, was banned from filming anymore on the show due to remarks he made about homosexuality.

I'd like to take a moment to talk about this if you'll allow me.

I consider myself a troubled Christian. I have doubts regarding my faith a lot, and overall I don't like many religious people. Although, I'm trying to get past this.

I understand how people can be mad about this, because it was a messed up thing to say, although, I don't believe he should have been fired for voicing his opinion.

My POV on Homosexuality at the moment is: I don't necessarily believe it's wrong. I'm not for gay-marriage or against it. I personally don't care. I believe that in order for America to call itself a free country, it should be legal, but it's no difference to me. I'm not gay at the moment, nor could I ever really see myself having a romantic relationship with another male, but if you want to do it it's fine by me.

I just think all these religious remarks about it are a pain in the butt.

For real, I believe he was simply expressing his opinion. Which is what I want you to do.

It's really stupid. I watch many shows that I know have very liberal actors in it and I don't give a crap. Just because one Conservative person decides to be strong enough for what he believes in. He was asked a question about what he finds sinful, so he just gave his honest opinion on it. He thought the sin was bad, not the person who is gay

(I don't like homosexuality, not homosexuals, the thing itself. I don't think the gov't should even look into it. For states where marriage is legal, leave it like that, if illegal, leave it like that. Homosexuality, whether you think is right or not is nowhere near as abd as killing, raping,etc.)

Whatever view you have, you should be able to say whatever you say as long as it isn't hate speech or racism. if you're asked a question, you shouldn't be punished for not having a popular opinion.

It is A and E's decision and suspending him off the show can mean the loss of the show itself then it's their loss. I never watched the show or even plan to do so but support him fully.

And it seems stupid how Oprah can start pulling the race card against a large group of people and get the nobel peace prize, but when someone answers a question honestly regarding his negative view on homosexuality, he is suspended.

Honestly I don't care whether or not somebody is a homosexual, I say just be whoever you want to be and I'll be happy. Yeah, it was stupid of this guy to come and say this, but what do you expect he would think? He was raised in the South where many people think homosexuality is the worst thing ever. He was raised with this belief and kept it for his whole life. The fact that everybody is so surprised that he thinks this is crazy in my opinion.

I don't have any reason to hate homosexuals, or anybody for that matter, so that's the end of that.

This is stupid because he was ONLY expressing an opinion, not trying to force the opinion on others. So its fucking retarted that people cannot deal with that.

I'd like to point out that it wasn't just homosexuality he talked about. He also said that black people were happier during the Jim Crow laws and were never mistreated, implying that he wanted them brought back. If you ask me, that alone is enough to get you fired. A&E is just doing what's best for their business.

I think only people in the south have heard of this show. For instance, me and Skyler. I don't think anyone other than around our states watch it.

I'm pretty sure more than people in South watch the show. I'm in California and I know some people watch it. He was asked what he thinks are sins and he mentioned homosexuality as well as others too. Many gays are supporting him as well (His right to say, not what he said himself) and aren't offended, and if they are then they shouldn't watch the show and if they don't watch it in the first place, then they shouldn't even say anything. I bet anything if he got fired for saying homosexuality was right then that would've been stupid too.

No, what I mean is he's an old guy from the South, so this is what he's believed his entire life, and back when he was younger, it was socially acceptable to say.
