I agree. No offense Dion but you do in fact reject a lot of ideas without reasoning. And in doing that doesn't that kinda make you a bad Admin?

... I gave my reasoning. I don't see how this makes me bad in any way if I have given my statement on things and actually haven't been proven wrong. (Sorry Nate, you telling me to get better security isn't the saving grace here). It's not like I'm saying no for the sake of saying no. The feature is completely useless to the forum when you can actually manually do it yourself if you really want to promote the forum that badly, and from past experience of using vBulletin, many add-ons can collide with each other in coding and cause potential gateways to hackers. I'm not talking out of my ass here when I speak from my own experiences. And if you really want to delve into "bigger sites", I have spoken to other admins who have used vBulletin as well (yes I am friends with quite a few of them) and they all agree that having features like these don't always do so great. They even told me that a chatbox on the forum is bad but I'm allowing you guys to use it now, aren't I?

If you really think adding it is a good idea, go to Donkidong.com and use the social networking features and share the stuff with your friends on facebook and twitter. That would prove it to us.

How about everyone stops bitching and realize Dion genuinely cares about what's best for the forum. Believe it or not, Nate and Beastlord, he actually wants the best for this place (crazy I know!) and his trying his best, and doing a damn good job in my opinion.

You and Rob have helped me with a lot of stuff as well as putting your money into this place.

I've coded sites before. If you code it right and no what your doing your not going to get hacked. And if your going to get hacked your going to get hacked anyways the security here probably isn't amazing I know there are plenty of people who can hack it if they wanted to. Fact is this site isn't WORTH hacking no offense. So get off your high horse.

But the like system is a useful add on. And its certainly better than the rep system, especially with the members we have here. Negative rep is going to cause arguments. A Like system is based on likes only. Its positivity without the negativity it won't cause problems. I can see this rep thing blowing up. Someone neg reps someone and they get pissed. If people here fight over the stupidest little comments on a forum game how's it going to go when someone neg reps with a comment someone here finds offensive.

The likes system is a better option and it works, and I've coded it in before and it's not leaky. And I can list plenty of places that use it.

But since Dion said no its not going to happen is it...ever...cause Dion said no, and the second dion said no it was over because the forum blindly follows everything Dion says no matter what. Ever. So just lock the thread and get it over with...cause the idea isn't happening.

This is neither a fight, nor a complaint. Not once have I complained. I have stated my opinions, in a very polite way actually. I've even avoided swearing I believe. I've called nobody names. Nor have I lost my temper. I've just expressed how I feel.

The forum isn't a bunch of sheep. We don't just automatically agree with everything Dion says because he's Dion. Most of us agree because he actually brings up good points. Honestly I don't know why you dragge this out for such a long time when you could have just accepted the original answer of no.

As for the fights, there really haven't been any big fights on here since last spring. So I don't think negative reputation is going to be that bad of a thing. Besides, if something happens the mods usually take care of it pretty quickly.

You aren't doing any of what you just said. What you are doing is beating a dead horse. It's already been said that it won't be happening. Why can't that just be the end of it? Why does it have to be discussed further?

Literally almost everything you have said here and in the past two days has been passive aggressive. You also seem to radiate the idea that you think we are below you and are stupid because we don't see things your way. I can give you a quote collection of you if you want but it is very frustrating for everyone to talk to a person who doesn't be reasonable. Everyone has their faults, but don't not expect backlash when you are rude, whether you see it as that or not is very different compared to how others see it, yep, strange.

Just take a break and go with the flow. If you ever differ with someones opinions, express it nicely and understandingly. Like a reasonable person would.
