Seriously I'm one of the very very few people with actual neg overall rep here and I could care less, I actually find it rather amusing.

It won't cause drama unless you let it cause drama. If you really think its going to cause drama make it so people can only +rep people, this system exists on boards across the internet and it doesn't often cause problems.

This is 100% the best way to look at it. Me personally, I don't look at overall rep too often, I look at each individual rep as kind of like a +1 on Reddit. It lets me know someone liked or didn't like something I said in a thread.

That was a joke. But seriously most people have +rep overall anyways so what if they get a couple neg reps for something they did. I'm willing to bet I have more neg rep than anyone here at all so far. Well except maybe Magical_Dolphins.

Also it says I have to wait a full 24 hours before giving out rep. I last gave out rep at 6 yesterday, and at six I gave out one more and it isn't letting me give out anymore. Why is that, since the allotted is three a day and I have only given out 1?

I just hope nobody negative reps everyone just to troll. Up repping everyone isn't what people should do (I have a bad habit of that but they obviously made a limit) but better than negative repping everyone. Or negative repping someone just because they don't agree with it (Intellectual Discussion if that ever gets active again)

EDIT: Maybe those who have very very bad rep (Not just negative rep but a far below below one) they can't give rep unless they get more positive rep, or someone can banned if they troll around (Purposely giving the same 3 people negative rep every 24 hours just to put them in the negatives. Or make it if you be stupid with the rep system you lose rep points. Maybe infractions make you lose certain amount of rep points (Depending on how big it is but every other original consequence should be in place.)
