In this world, everything is grey area. Right and wrong might as well have the same definition. There is no happiness, there is no mercy, there is no hope.

In October of 2019, every government of the world molded together. They injected toxic metals into the blood of every single human. No exceptions. The population started waning, only a couple hundred people were immune to the chemicals. All of us have relocated to the same area to make our existence simpler. Over the past few months, most of them have died. From conflicts, to illness, to injury, it was another collapse in population.
We are the survivors.
We are the humans.
We are ERBoH.
That's what we call ourselves. For whatever reason, every survivor has been a registered member on ERBoH.com, making it easy for us to get along. Or it was easy, until the government decided that our suffering wasn't good enough.
---
On the World Airship, a large hovercraft full of Government leaders who watch the ERBoH's like a sporting event. Canada's leader, Dion was drinking from a glass when he spoke up,
"Rob, this has grown tiring. The strong ones have bonds. They're doing a damn good job of survival."
The US leader stepped out into view and looked out of the window.
"Oh," He sighed, "as if being immune to M-19 wasn't bad enough, they're getting along? What a waste."
He pressed a button on the watch he wore, and the airship started shining a bright neon blue.
"Ship, activate Project: Mecha"
A robotic voice called out from the ship, "Loading Project_Mecha.act"
Five minutes of loading past.
"I told you we shouldn't have updated to Windows 10," Rob laughed.
"Project loaded."
A government trained Super-Soldier, Hipp Sturr Sam, called Sam for short, stepped out. His eyes flashed a shiny gold and he laughed. The tile he was standing on fell out of the ship, and turned into a pod. He slowly started descending to earth. He landed in the middle of the ground.
"Great" a survivor named Sane put in sarcastically, "The government has shown up after 5 months in the dark. What are they gonna do now? Make us drink bleach?"
Saiya, a quiet ex-Government member decided to speak, "Sane come on. I know the government hasn't been nice, but I know these guys. As long as I'm here, I can convince them to let us live a little longer."
Brine fake gagged, "So I'm assuming saying stuff like that is how you got a job as an agent?" He laughed to himself and went to take a drink from his can of soda. Saiya slid across the dirt, and backflipped up. She swiped Brine's soda and took a sip before he could even react.
"Nah," Saiya grinned, "I got the job because I'm a badass."
Sam stepped out of the pod.
"Attention to all survivors. On request of the wonderful lord Rob, I must attack you." Sam shouted. He took out a large gun and wrapped his lifeless finger around the trigger.
Saiya ran forward, "We've come this far, we're not dying yet!"
"Yes," Rob's voice boomed from a large speaker wrapped around his ship, "You WANT to survive. Go ahead, survive your hardest."
Sam pulled the trigger, and as if in slow motion, Saiya saw it moving at a snail's pace. She braced for death but instead started rumbling. Grey liquid came out of her mouth and coated around her entire body. It hardened into a sparkling iron, as she grew into a giant robot. Despite her normal body being intact, she felt as if she WAS the robot.
"This is what we injected into your blood all those months ago. Your genes allow this transformation. Coding on your little rap battle website allowed for your brain to adapt to the chemicals in your blood. You feel like two beings and one being at the same time." Rob said. "It's a survival instinct."
Saiyandroid swiped her arm at Sam, but all it did was tap him.
"Not a chance," Rob laughed, "you must command attacks with your physical body. You have to say them and feel them at the same time."
"Slap this fucker silly!" Saiya yelled from her real body. There was a pop noise. Her suit turned into the same liquid and melted into her body. She lost consciousness and fell from the sky. Sanic caught her before she hit the ground and set her down gently. Buttercream tended to her potential medical needs while Sanic confronted Rob.
"What was that?!" Sanic yelled to Rob.
"Simple," Rob sounded satisfied, "she wasn't in danger anymore. You're only a mecha while in danger. She just wasn't in danger."
Before Sanic could respond, the ship disappeared, along with the speakers.
"Dammit! We'll end this all soon, and go back to normal... Right?" Sanic, for the first time in his life, was completely devastated.
"It would be a shame if you all were in danger." Sambama laughed.
