Quick Question, How are you going to handle things that are off forum, If it's a real personal concern (IG Self Inflicted pain/suicide/depression/fight/ anything really that concerns a member but outside the realms of our lovely forum)

Well, so long as the issue is of the same nature as those you mentioned, the support hotlines thread would probably be the best place a moderator could direct a forumer to, on the forum itself, for help.

(Kind of a brief answer, I know. Sorry, but I'm really busy this week.)

By the way, since someone just asked me this, you can change your vote if something changed your mind.

I will admit, I have generally stayed out of general help due to worrying that I would say the wrong thing and make things worse. However, if I were put in the above situation, then I think that the best situation would be to point them in the direction of the specified helplines, if applicable, in their country. We can try and help them along as much as we can ourselves, but to be bluntly honest there's a limit to how much an online forum, especially one not focused on such a problem, can do. Again, we can try talking to them and help them through it if it or even just let them be happy for while they are online with us, but overall we are not is a position to take a leading role in deciding what should happen about a person in such a scenario.

Well, there's not much more that I can say that hasn't already been said. Like the others, I'd point that forumer to the hotline directory, but in the end the choice for them to help themselves isn't mine or yours, it's theirs alone.

Of course, I'm definitely willing to be an ear they can speak to or as a shoulder to lean on, but unfortunately there's not much that can be done over the Internet. However, I do have plans to bring more awareness to the Personal Support section, because as of right now it's hardly given a second thought, but there's no doubt that it's a very important part of the forum.

    UPDATE:
Votes are very close right now. Unless I get an obvious lead before then, this is going to be done on New Year's Day. Why don't the candidates try and sway some votes until then?

There's not much I can say to make my case that I haven't already said. I'll reintroduce some highlights however. I ask that you keep an open mind however, as it is not my intention to seem conceited, but the goal of this "debate" (I wouldn't really call it a debate as we've been very friendly with each other) is to show why you're capable.

I believe I've done the most as an Intern Mod. That's not to say others have not worked hard, but I pushed for the royale switch, which has obviously made things better organized and we've even seen an influx of both royales in the forum fan fictions section and actual games in the forum games section. I'm up at odd hours into the night, which is actually the time I completely moved every royale from forum games to forum fan fictions. I also look at the stuff others tend to overlook, as I created a master thread for some of the games that are commonly played off the forum, and I allowed for birthdays to receive special name changes in addition to the already established cakeday name changes.

I have many ideas to help the forum in various ways, and I believe I've shown myself to be adept at organization. While this debate has definitely been important for vocalizing what we're capable of, I don't think performances should be overlooked as well. Each and every Intern Mod has done their part and showed what they can offer. I can't control who you guys vote for, and you're free to vote for who you think is the best fit for Modding the forum, but I'd like to make my case clear. It doesn't just stop here, I have every intention of staying active and doing what I can even after elections are over.

    Thank you.

It's a shame Cryonic posted before me, because my belief is the same as him in the fact that there's nothing I can really say in this post that will change your opinions about voting for me, instead of voting for someone else. I feel like the other three have each made strong cases, so just pick the people you would be proud to have represent this forum as moderators. I can say that I will do what I can to help this place, and I do love this place, but I want you to first and foremost pick the people who you think will do the greatest job. That's it. Thank you very much for this opportunity.

How about results early for Christmas?

The general consensus on Gunnut was that he did fine as an intern moderator, but did not do as much as the other three. People who did choose him cited the fact that he is a longtime member of the forum and is dedicated the site. He received 3 votes from 17 voters.

The general consensus on Adonis was that he was a great intern moderator, and will do great as a super moderator if he stays active. Some people were worried about his past, but most realized that he had changed. People think that he can get a lot done if he is promoted because he is not afraid to state his opinion, even if it's an unpopular one. He received 10 votes from 17 voters.

The general consensus on Cryonic was that he was a great intern moderator, and would get a lot done if promoted to super moderator. Most of the people who didn't vote for him didn't do so because they felt a different two had better arguments in the debate. He received 8 votes from 17 voters.

The general consensus on Ranger was he was a great intern moderator, and deserves to be a super moderator. Almost everyone who voted gave him a vote due to how active he is, how he has a different timezone, and how friendly he is. He received 16 votes from 17 voters.

And there we have it. Congratulations to rangernumberx and Adonis!
Also, please don't be upset, other candidates. Look on the bright side, you'll be the first two in line next time there's a vacancy in the staff.

    Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!
