Here's a question you will glad about because it doesn't involve your two demons. Do you like being British (or English) or not?

Do you think that if the world made robots that they will gain superior intelligence and fight back against us?
If so, Do you believe that there /may/ be some robots that will defend the human race?
Spoiler:
Not very. I mean, I am not fat, but I am overweight. The fact that I'm just not that much a fan of sports at all doesn't help.
For the first one, making robots is something we have already achieved, and they don't seem to have ulterior motives that end with a mass depopulation of the planet. However, should we make highly advanced AIs, then there is every possibility that this would occur. This would mean that the said program was either made with the intention of destroying humanity, or it's programming has something in it that allows it to pass the three laws of robotics and makes it decide that humanity is either deserving of being destroyed, or that humanity's presence threatens it's own survival. It's unlikely that this would occur on a massive scale, as the fault should be pretty quickly picked up.
Whether some decide to assist humanity depends on these AIs having completely free thought, making them essentially digital humans, each with their own personalities (well, at least two different personalities, really: The ones that corrupt and aim for our destruction, and the other personality that opposes that lookout). You know, we always see these fictional stories with another race, or even a deity of some sort, says that humans are special and so will strive to protect them. It is entirely possible that some of these AIs/robots will take that viewpoint, probably justifying it with a mix of being cared for by humans and being created by them. However, there are just too many variables and unknowns to actually come up with a certain answer. That's just my thoughts with the question being as open as it is.
