I guess it's the same as before: Get rich and infamous, like all the famous pirates are. He wants to be remembered. Of course, being turned into his current state has changed his main goal, and has made him more cautious in achieving it.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. I loved Blue Rescue Team, with it being a nice little roguelike game (my only real experience with the genre) based on a game series I liked, with a surprisingly dark story, and so on. It's sequel games just increase everything, with Explorers of Sky being one of my favourite games. The story is darker and with more memorable characters, the sprites greatly improved, there was the addition of bounty missions, just everything was made better, and I loved it.

Then Gates to Infinity became a thing, and everyone will tell you how much of a disappointment that is. A minuscule amount of characters compared with all of the Pokemon that had been created at the time, dumbing down mechanics such as the removal of hunger, and so on just made it so much worse. However, I never played it. I just tried out the demo on the eShop, realised it was bad, and left it at that. But Super Mystery Dungeon? I thought that would be good! It was out in America when I went to New York in December last year, and when I asked about it to one of the staff in the Nintendo shop there, she said how much fun she had with it, and I had heard a lot about how it had improved over the last game. But when I actually got around to it? I could make several paragraphs of why it just left me disappointed, and feeling terror for the future (or, more accurately, potential lack thereof) of the series. So many things just did not work, and for someone who was expecting a return to form? It was a greatly disappointing result.
