Leonardo Da Vinci Vs Galileo Galilei - renaissance men, basically both these guys were considered "Renaissance Men" in their respected times, people who were experts in multiply fields. The battle could be over who was the better Renaissance Man.
Indiana Jones Vs Edward Micheal Grylls - Survivalist, I'm not sure if there's someone better suited but it'd be cool to see Bear Grylls in an ERB.
Fidel Castro Vs Julius Caesar - World Leaders, both these guys were at the center of a plot to kill them. Caesar's is well known and Fidel had the CIA making numerous attempts on his life.
Walt Disney Vs Vincent Van Gogh - Artists, both Vincent and Walt are polar opposites since Vincent was more appreciated in death and then there's the rumors of Walt Disney and the vilification of his personal character.
David Blaine Vs Jean Eugene Robert Houdin - Magicians, we haven't seen magicians on ERB yet and it'd be neat to have two differing styles of the art (similar to Justin Biebar Vs Beethoven)
Ian Fleming Vs Tom Clancy - Novelists, Ian and Tom wrote a series of books about characters in the UK/US Military

and then my personal favourite and one that I know people will find weird but
Augustus De Morgan Vs Hugh Everett III - Morgan was a mathematician who came up with the theory known as Murphy's Law (whatever can go wrong, will go wrong) and Everett came up with the Many-Worlds Interpretation theory. Basically it'd be on people who came up with Pseudoscience that while they can't be proven are still excepted by the majority of people. (Be honest how many of us are secretly wishing Many-Worlds Interpretation is real science)
