Thread: List of ERBoH Ideas

I'm also very much against using TV Drama characters to begin with. Not only are they relatively obscure at the peak of their fame, but they are almost guaranteed to be forgotten based on the nature of the medium they come from.

Networks aren't going to re-air episodes of Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones after their series are over just like they don't re-air episodes of the far far more popular shows that have been done for a long time like Lost, Heroes, or Prison Break. The reason being that people aren't going to want to watch an episode in the middle of the story because they won't know what's going on. And because the TV Drama series typically have a full series run time over 24 hours, people aren't going to sit down and re-watch them. In other words, characters like Rick Grimes and Walter White are doomed to an even deeper obscurity than they already had when they were featured in ERB.
I have to disagree with you. Even if TV networks don't re-air episodes of shows like Breaking Bad doesn't mean the show itself will be forgotten. Fans of the show will always remember it and I'm sure others will rewatch the entire show at some point. I would argue Grimes was a good choice for an ERB because the Walking Dead will be on for at least a few more seasons. I would argue that characters like Grimes are as ERB worthy as Napoleon Dynamite or Billy Mays.

GoT's popularity is exponentially rising and at this rate will probably be around for years. The impact it has had on pop culture cannot be denied. If Walter White and Grimes can be in a battle, there is no reason why Tyrian or Joffery could not. As for Joffery, I think he would work really well. He is not the main character, but a major antagonist. He was the character fans loved to hate. He does have enough material to work with and would be fun to see. Granted I admit I would prefer ERB not to use multiple characters from the same series. In GoT's case since it has many in-depth characters I would allow at least 2 characters. Tyrion is the most popular character on the show, so he is bound to happen at some point. Daenerys, I admit I would prefer the least out of the three main characters suggested. I think at this point her character needs more development before she can be used well.

P.S. Earlier you guys were talking about the idea of Elsa in an ERB. Frozen is the highest grossing animated film of all time and the songs have millions of views on Youtube. I think she is ERB worthy. Besides NP had not heard about Goku either and he decided to check him out. I think it is possible.

Holy shit I just had a baller idea for people who still want Dr. House.

    Dr. House vs Dr. Strange

Two arrogant doctors who get injured. Not a very strong connection but I think it would be fun!

I want another Christmas/winter themed battle, with any of these people:

    The Grinch
    Sub-Zero
    Elsa
    Jack Frost

So some suggestions I was thinking:
Sub-Zero vs Snowmiser (maybe featuring cameos by Scorpion and Heatmiser)
The Grinch vs Rudolph (the connection being outsiders who saved Christmas)

I reckon Phil Collins v Kurt Cobain is a pretty good one,

Phil started off as an indie and lesser known artist from the late 60s to the early 80s, and then became huge with his pop career, so he represents the 80s pop

Kurt's career got a whole lot of attention early on as a counter culture to Phil's cheesy pop and wished to leave the fame behind, the opposite of phil, and therefore represents 90s alternative

They're basically the opposite, even down to Phil's lack of hair compared to Kurt's shaggy head and are quite well known, good idea?

You know, with all the DC and Marvel movies coming out, I'm thinking an Avengers vs Justice League movie would make a good finale. The season just started so when the time comes for the finale.
