One battle I think could be really cool and really funny, if done right, is Gloria Steinem vs. Hugh Hefner vs. Phyllis Schlafly.

- Steinem is an ardent feminist who campaigned heavily for the Equal Rights Amendment and did a scathing undercover exposé on Playboy, and generally opposes pornography on feminist grounds

- Hugh Hefner runs Playboy (obviously), but donated large amounts of money to the ERA and supported feminist causes like abortion access. Vocally opponent of "sexual repression," but mostly in a way that supports men's freedom to objectify women.

- Phyllis Schlafly is an rabidly anti-feminist activist, who thinks women should be subservient to men, and campaigned AGAINST the Equal Rights Amendment, and opposes Playboy and pornography on conservative grounds.

This battle would likely to get into sticky political territory that Peter and Lloyd don't want to touch, but the three of them going at it with each other, and getting confused as they find themselves alternatively agreeing and disagreeing with both of their opponents, forming brief "enemy-of-my-enemy" type alliances in every possible configuration, could be fantastic if pulled off well.

That would be amazing if someone could pull it off.

I personally think Carl Sagan would be good against Bobby Fisher. They are both in their own way high up in nerd hierarchy.
Also, Penn & Teller vs. Jay and Silent Bob. A loud mouth with a silent partner, and a loud mouth with a silent partner.

Yes please! I hadn't heard this idea before, but now that I have it's one of my favorites as I love both franchises.

I know they've already covered Star Wars really well with all the Vader ones, but I'd really like to see Han Solo vs Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly). Possibly include a 3rd party on that one with a joke about Mal's second verse getting cancelled. Is Firefly too obscure for ERB?

Gary Gygax vs Shigeru Miyamoto. One of the original big names in tabletop gaming vs one of the original big names in video gaming.

Jules Verne vs H.G. Wells. They were writing around the same time, but Verne was focused on hard science fiction (focusing on the scientific advances, providing a ton of details on how things worked) while Wells' work was more science fantasy (using mostly-unexplained science as a vehicle for the more important plot and symbolism).

I just read an article over Horatio Nelson and I think he would be a perfect rapper for erb.

I always liked Yamamoto vs. Manfred von Richthofen (the red baron) due to land vs sea and WWI vs. WWII

I think it would be cool to have an ERB with Troy "I voice every video game character" Baker, the question is, is he worthy? I mean his voice is certainly well known, but he is almost never seen...

If they did use Freddy Fazbear, I'd want them to do a Bieber Beethoven type thing with Teddy Roosevelt. There's a bear theme, a corporation vs. corporation-fighting theme, nature vs. machines, plus I think it'd be really funny to see Fazbear acting all scary and Teddy just not giving a shit and verbally shredding him.

I really want Sam Burgess in a battle. It would work really well and there's a lot to be said.

I don't have a good enough opponent though. Only person I can think of is John Sattler but wouldn't work. The comparison has been made so many times already and they both played for the same team (albeit in different time periods)
