Nate tried to talk him out of doing the robbery. The guy then pulled a gun on a 13 year old girl. That's when Nate jumped into action. He's a damn fine hero in my book.
I can only imagine how low that guy must of been in his life to have even contemplated this. Either desperation or no conscious. Either way, kharma will catch up with this guy. The police is just the first part.
