Sorry, but I don't see Light being super effective on Electric, or visa versa. I'm thinking possibly flying, or trolling (do you think game companies enjoy watching us argue over these things?).

Too bad it never mentioned anything about a light type...

I'm going to say it's either a pure flying type (because we haven't seen any dual-type eeveelutions yet) or a new type. If it was a new type, then it would make sense that they're keeping it a secret.

I noticed something.

On the Pokemon website, the types for Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie are revealed, yet Xerneas, Yveltal, and Sylveon's types are hidden.
This leads me to believe that Xerneas, Yveltal, and Sylveon are all new types. So Sylveon will most likely be a light-typed Pokemon. Xerneas a light-type as well, and Yveltal a sound-type.

Well they hid Zekrom's type until it was leaked. And he wasn't a new type.
There's some blogger that gets Pokemon infomation who leaked Zekrom's type and Keldeo's Resolute form. So they might leak again.

But this is the "evolution" of the Pokemon series. It would make sense to introduce two new types.
