EPX For GM

And honestly, why is this even being made public? I thought the consensus was to have a vote AMONGST THE MODS/OTHER GMs with regards to a potential promotion.

The forum would probably like to have a say in who they are moderated by.

Ok guys, I have a couple of things to say.

First of all, It's ok if you call me EPX, ERBoH
But seriously, I thank all of you guys supporting me in this, I love you guys!

Also, I never said I would leave this forum completely. I said I would leave this forum for a couple of weeks, just to focus on school. I just didn't need that much time to recover. I left the forum for 4 days, and I felt like a new human. I'm doing great in school, and I get more sleep. It's impossible to leave this place.

I completely agree with you Dion, I should work my way up.

Castiel, I agree with you too, and I completely understand if you don't support me in this.
I am modding Intellectual Discussion, but the place is completely fine as it is, without a mod.
I haven't been able to show you that I can moderate, because nothing big has happened. I have deleted a post, and I stopped possible spam. But I see what you are hinting at. I have been saying a few things in the Mod panel, but not that much, so I see what you are saying there as well. Also, don't blame ERBoH for this thread. Blame me, if anyone. I sent a message to ERBoH after the spam attack earlier today. This is exactly what I wrote:

Earlier today, the whole forum was attacked by a new forumer called "DylanDigerydoo". He spammed the whole forum with new threads, and I'm completely serious when I say that he spammed up more than 7 pages of the ERBoH discussion section. And the worst part was that the global moderators were asleep during his spamming spree.

Since I live in Sweden, I can prevent this from happening. I am awake when you are asleep. I was awake from the first spam post he made until he was deleted, but I couldn't do anything. My question, like I said before, is "Is there a way for me to become a Global Moderator". I want to prevent these things from happening to this forum, because I care about it. I spend more than 10 hours a day on this forum, even if I have school.

I understand you if I can't, but an answer is really appreciated.

Your PM you sent Rob did bring up a very good point. As Kurt said on a different topic, we need GMs on here around the clock to prevent things from happening at night like they did here.

Because the forum has a say as to who becomes a Mod /rolls eyes.

This should stay within the Mod Discussion board and if EPX gets promoted, then an announcement would be made. Plus your above comment just wreaks of ignorance.

EPX: It's more of a random thing for Rob to just suddenly say "hey, do you all want EPX as a GM", making it a poll and going public with it when there was an understanding that any promotion types would be polled to the Mods/GMs. Plus he never actually gave a reason for this sudden decision. It was completely out of left field. So yes, I do blame him because he did it in such an unprepared way.

Mods/GMs would know better who to appoint. Besides, if forumers dislike a certain person, they can potentially block said person from being promoted when he deserves that right. I don't believe that's right at all.

Rob's obviously trying something new. I think that regular members should get a say in who should become a GM, because it introduces a variety of opinions and points.

I think EPX should be a GM. Start him off on Level 1 and see if he shows potential, than carry on.

Besides being nice, EPX has helped me in stressful situations, helped others I know for a fact, and is always there to lend a hand. So what if he hasn't been active in a section? Isn't that the task of a mod? To keep things running smoothly? Can't improve something that's working fine. Personal support section never has any trouble. Most sections don't. When I was DR4H mod, I never did a single thing. It was a title. GM's help the most. I do believe EPX should be a GM.
