Beat: It's something. Kind of catchy, a few intense moments, it fits the rappers pretty well, there's not too much to complain about. At the same time though, there's nothing particularly amazing here either, so there's nothing really to gush about either. Nothing incredible, but it's far from bad. 8/10
Impressions and Costumes: Costumes are all perfect. The ninjas look great, the cowboys look hilarious, Bruce Lee and Clint Eastwood are both perfect for the looks they were going for. Bruce Lee's impression is perfect too. I guess Clint could have more of a Southern accent. If they could've done all of Clint's lines in the voice that they did for the pecker line, it would've been better. Still a minor complaint, and still a pretty good impression all things considered. 9.5/10
Bruce Lee-Round 1: The Fists of Fury line is kind of obvious, the next line isn't much of a reference and the third line is just a generic threat. The first good line in the verse is the Wat-TAAAAW line, and then after that it's slightly better, but still not great. I'm not sure what tortoises have to do with anything, so they could've done a better line about Clint's movies being slow. The Chuck Norris line was inevitable, and I don't really like how they handled it here. They just had him say ''I fucked up Chuck Norris'' and that was it. The Jeet Kune Do line could be better, but the last line is awesome. Kind of an eh verse all things considered. 7.5/10
Clint Eastwood-Round 1: The first line is OK, but not really much of a reference, but the Pu-Pu platter line is hilarious. The lips line is pretty lame, they could've made a much better joke about that. The iPod line was probably the first laugh-out-loud line in the battle. The squint line is good, but at this point the Asian jokes are getting a bit overdone. The racist lines are all good, but it bugs me that they're all a joke about the same thing (Lee's race), and I am going to take off a half-point or so for that. 8/10
Bruce Lee-Round 2: The Good, Bad and Ugly line was also inevitable, and this one was decent. The mama line is funny, but really, it could be used against anyone. The pistol line is actually one of my all time favorite ERB lines. I had to watch it a few times to pick up on the whole thing, but it's just hilarious and really clever when you put all the pieces together. The chair line was kind of obivous, but still alright. The only really ''great'' line is the million dollar babies line, but there are a lot of decent lines that help bring the score up. 9/10
Clint Eastwood-Round 2: The ''Do you feel lucky, punk'' line isn't even a joke, and is really obvious. The aspirin line is pretty good, but then there's one line pair that really annoys me, which is the pecker line and Chinese checkers line. This was the point for me where I was just like ''OK, WE GET IT, HE'S ASIAN''. It's not the offensiveness that bothers me, it is a rap battle after all, it just gets really repetitive, and frankly it makes Bruce Lee look good when he can't find anything to mock about him besides his heritage. The One-Inch Punch line was incredibly obvious and could've been way more subtle, and the Chinese checkers line is just pathetic. The last line is awesome, no doubt, and it saves the verse, but it doesn't save the battle for Clint in my eyes. 8/10
Overall: The video is extremely well done and the presentation is fantastic. As a youtube video, it's probably the best one they've ever made. Lyrically, though, looking back at it, it's kind of overrated. A lot of the references are just really obvious and aren't really subtle. Of course, there are some gems in there, but all things considered, these lyrics aren't too high above average. It's still a good battle, and it ranks pretty high on my list, but it's starting to lose its luster a bit for me. 8.5/10
Bruce Lee's Best Line: Go tug yo pistol for a Fistful of your Million Dollar Babies.
Bruce Lee's Worst Line: You were cool in the 80s, maybe, but now you're just crazy!
Clint Eastwood's Best Line: (I'd beat you in round 2, but that'd be unbelievable) No one in your family ever lives to see a sequel.
Clint Eastwood's Worst Line: Leave the rapping to me, stick to Chinese checkers.
Final Results:
